Random chat automatically connects people who are online at the same moment. Unlike a social network where you browse profiles and choose people, the experience is built around not knowing who you will meet. This guide covers the basics from your first connection to safer use.
What is random chat?
Random chat connects two waiting users automatically rather than asking you to browse a profile list. URIAL does not build the normal experience around public posts, follows, likes or a friends list. The focus is the conversation happening right now.
It may feel similar to anonymous or one-to-one chat services, but URIAL is designed around talking in the moment rather than finding someone to date or build an off-platform relationship with.
No sign-up. Choose a name and look for someone
- On the home page, choose an avatar and enter a name, age, gender and short comment as needed.
- Confirm that you are 18 or older and review the rules.
- Press the button to talk to someone.
- When another waiting user is available, the page switches into a one-to-one conversation.
No email address or phone-number account is required for normal random chat. Waiting time varies depending on how many people are online.
Once matched, talk directly in the message view
You will see the other person's name, age, short comment and message bubbles. A simple “Hi,” “I had a few minutes,” or “How was your day?” is enough to start.
If the conversation does not feel right, you do not have to continue. End it, or report and block when appropriate, then move on.
On mobile, the conversation stays front and center
The mobile layout gives most of the screen to the message history. The Return key inserts a line break; use the send button beside the composer to send. After sending, the keyboard remains available so you can keep typing.
Tap the conversation area when you want to dismiss the keyboard and see more history. Media and voice controls stay together at the bottom.
Images, video and voice messages
You can send text plus images and short video up to 30MB per file, plus voice messages up to 5 minutes. Available image shooting metadata is removed from the copy delivered to the other user, and the user-facing viewer does not include a normal download button.
That does not make media impossible to record. Check backgrounds and do not send anything that would be harmful if another person kept a copy.
Translation can help when languages differ
Translation keeps the original incoming message visible and can add a translated version in the language you choose. The original remains visible because machine translation can miss nuance.
For important or sensitive points, short and simple wording reduces misunderstandings.
Basic safety habits
- Do not send your real name, address, school or workplace.
- Do not exchange phone numbers, email, LINE, Instagram, Discord or similar contact information.
- Do not arrange an in-person meeting.
- Check photos for identifying details before sending.
- If something feels unsafe or suspicious, leave and report.
- Never pressure someone to share personal details or media.

Can I choose who I match with?
No. URIAL connects waiting users automatically rather than offering a searchable directory.
Can I search old chats?
Normal random-chat users do not receive a feature for searching previous partners or old chat histories.
